"The Little Devil"

I wrote this poem during 2001. The inspiration behind this poem came about from my experience of being the only women left on my construction training course, working on a building site. It was a little daunting, to say the least not having other women to share lunch with. Instead I spent my lunch time sketching or in the managers office trying to learn how to read drawings for the building of 10 flats and a community centre local to where I live. The mens misperception of what I should have been doing triggered the poem. The image was created as a sample for a greeting card however, I previously used it as my logo.
